How to join servers on different platforms
In this guide, we will explain how you can join your minecraft server on different platforms such as java edition, bedrock edition, mcpe, xbox, ps4, and nintendo switch! Let's get started
You can find your server IP on WitherPanel . For a particular server you have, click on the server from the server list, and you would be at the console page. There, you can see your server information, including your IP address. The text underlined in red is the server IP
In our case, the IP is 191.104.156.202:19213
The server IP is in the format IP:PORT. This means, the server IP is 191.104.156.202 and the port is 19213
On java edition, when you add a server, you'd put the server IP as 191.104.156.202:19213
If you want to remove the :19213 part, you will need a dedicated IP
On bedrock edition, when you add a server, you'd put the server IP as 191.104.156.202 and the port as 19213
Please note, your server will not have the same IP and port as the details mentioned above. Check your own IP at the console page and use those details
Joining on PC should be fairly straightforward! You will simply go to the "Add server" button and fill out relevant details
Joining on Windows 10 should also be farily easy! Go to the play tab --> servers --> add external servers
On Minecraft Bedrock Edition, players on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PS4 are limited to playing on 'Featured Servers' approved by Mojang/Microsoft. These players are not able to join servers via an IP/address. BedrockConnect is an easy to use solution for Minecraft Bedrock Edition players on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PS4 to join any server IP, while also having access to a serverlist that allows you to manage a list of servers. It doesn't require any downloads, just a few changes to settings.
Here's tutorials to get it setup yourself. It takes only a few minutes to get setup.
Please make sure you watch the videos carefully and follow all the steps! In case you still have issues, see the troubleshooting page here, and you should not run into any further problems
