# How to schedule auto-restarts for your server

A guide to setup easy and convenient restarts

Servers need regular restarts to run smoothly, and in this article, you'll learn how to set up an auto-restart using our task system!

Log into your panel [**here**](https://witherpanel.com/) and select the server where you want to add the auto-restart.

Once you're on the server page, click on "Schedules".

Then, click the blue `Create Schedule` button.

You'll now be in a menu where you can set some schedule options. Set the time in cron time. For more information, read [**this article here**](https://my.witherhosting.com/kb/how-to-use-our-schedules). In the example picture, it will restart every 24 hours once we're done. Here, we will also get presets, such as every five minute, every hour, midnight and so on. Note that the timezone followed is EST.

Click the blue `Create Schedule` button to save, and then click the `Penci` button.

Click "Add Task", and a new menu will be brought up where you can add a task to the schedule.

We're going to set `Send Power Action` as the `Action`, and `Payload` as `Restart the server`.

Then, just click `Create Action`, and you're done! The server will automatically restart every 24 hours.
