
When choosing a Minecraft server location for friends and family, it is usually best to pick a place that is closest to everyone so the game runs smoothly with low lag. For public servers, the location matters more because players may join from many different regions, so a server in a central area or one with strong global performance is often a better choice.
For every 10 players, add 1GB RAM
For every 10 plugins, add 1GB RAM
For every 10 mods, add 1-2GB RAM
These values are our recommendations but may not be right for you depending on your use case you may need more or less. Please take these recommendations as optional but worth noting.
