🤔 What's the Purpose of a Firewall? 🤔

A firewall serves as a vital defense mechanism, shielding your server from bot attacks and allowing you to blacklist specific IP addresses, effectively preventing them from accessing your server!

💡 How to Utilize It 💡

Head over to WitherPanel and choose the server you wish to manage.
Navigate to the Firewall tab.



You'll now see where you can add firewall rules.

Click on the BAN IP button located above; this will prompt a popup to appear.



Here, specify the IP address or range of IP addresses you want to ban. Once you're satisfied with your selection, click the BAN IP button in the popup.
The IP will be successfully banned! You'll have access to detailed geolocation information about the banned IP address and the option to unban it with just a click.

👍 Helpful Examples of IP Address Formatting 👍

Blocking All Incoming Connections:

0.0.0.0/0 with DROP.

Blocking All Connections from the IP 123.45.67.89:

123.45.67.89 with DROP

Blocking All Connections from IPs in the Range 123.45.67.0-123.45.67.255:

123.45.67.0/24 with DROP

To determine the subnet of an IP address, visit IpInfo, enter the IP address in question, and look for the "network" field!
