How to access your servers logs
In this tutorial, we'll guide you on locating your server's log files, crucial for diagnosing issues like server startup failures, crashes, and more. These logs are invaluable for support staff in debugging complex issues.
The location of log files varies depending on the software you're using.
To begin, ensure you're in the server you want logs from, then click on File Manager.
This will display all your server's files. Navigate to the logs folder to access past server logs. The specific location may differ based on your software.
Within this folder, you'll find various files, most of which are compressed. You'll need a program like WinRAR or 7-Zip to open them. However, the latest.log file is the most recent log file of your server, which exists only while the server is running. Once the server stops, it compresses into a zip file.
20##-##-##-#.log.gz - Compressed previous log files useful for reviewing past logs. Typically found on bukkit/spigot/papermc/purpur servers.
